If you’re visiting Los Angeles, West Hollywood is the place to go. This neighborhood is super trendy with a fun nightlife, especially on Santa Monica Blvd, known as “Boys Town.” You can find LGBTQ-friendly bars, clubs and lively shops.

Don’t forget the infamous Sunset Strip with live music venues like Whiskey a Go Go, comedy clubs (Comedy Store + The Laugh Factory) and the Sunset Plaza — a shopping area with restaurants lining the sidewalk. Stroll down Sunset Plaza with your pup and grab a coffee at The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker with a side of people-watching.

Get ready to explore these dog-friendly spots in West Hollywood!

West Hollywood Dog Park: a well-maintained, manicured dog park with separate gated areas for small dogs and large dogs. Tip: park in the library parking structure (2 minute walk) for free one hour parking. 647 N San Vicente Blvd.

Paul Smith store: I know, I know. The iconic bubblegum pink wall is overplayed on Instagram and with bloggers but if you’re already on Melrose Ave, you can’t miss it. Take a photo with your pup against the infamous pink wall — just do it. 😉

The Henry. Beautiful dining room includes huge outdoor patio with chic vibes. New American classics like truffle fries, shrimp cocktail and braised short rib. 120 N Robertson Blvd.

Zinque. Airy, outdoor patio with a slick Parisian vibe — definitely a popular spot in Weho. They serve a nice Happy Hour menu (4 – 6:30pm) with dishes like prawn tacos, flat breads (get the mushroom gruyere) and average price for a glass of wine is about $9. The dishes we tried were decadently savory and herb-y. Just how I like it! 8684 Melrose Ave.

Shake Shack. This location is one of the best — large outdoor patio and right across from Healthy Spot, if you need to stock up on poo bags! Don’t forget to order the Pooch-ini (vanilla custard and dog biscuits) for your pup. 8520 Santa Monica Blvd.

Connie & Ted’s. One of my fave restaurants. New England seafood classics like fish of the day, fish + chips, raw seafood bar and the best Manhattan chowder in town. Lots of room for your pup(s) with its huge grass-covered patio (converted from their parking lot). 8171 Santa Monica Blvd.

Mauro’s Cafe at Ron Herman. Delicious Italian food served in a huge outdoor area (you can choose the shaded patio or the “garden” — their parking lot with cute tables and umbrellas) for lunch and shopping next door. My favorite dish is the spaghetti marinara and ask them to mix in some broccoli, spinach and peas — a delicious way to get your greens! 🙂 8112 Melrose Ave.

Bacari on 3rd. Walk through a small, cave-like entrance and find yourself at this hidden gem. Feels like a cozy Italian backyard with delicious share plates. 8030 W 3rd St #3/4.
