Gingerbread cookies are such a holiday classic, and now you can make them for your dog! This dog-friendly recipe is simple, uses safe ingredients, and is easy to make. Plus, they smell absolutely delicious, cozy, and festive. Your dog will love them just as much as mine does. :)
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup natural, unsalted peanut butter
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, eggs, and peanut butter.

Add in flour and cinnamon & mix.
Lightly flour a flat surface and roll out the dough to 1/4 inch (sprinkle in more flour to keep dough from sticking).

Time to use the cutest gingerbread cutter!
Bake for 30-40 minutes. At 30 minutes they are still a little soft. I wanted super crunchy treats so I kept them in the oven 40 minutes.
Optional: decorate your cookies with dog-friendly icing! Recipe at the end of this post.
