5 Dog Friendly Restaurants in Studio City

Studio City has grown into a small foodie nation and there are so many spots with good food, good drinks and dog-friendly tables!

Sun Cafe. 10820 Ventura Blvd. Even if you’re a carnivore, you will love the food here — I promise. I think I could probably eat the Sun Nachos every day of my life — vegan chorizo, vegan cheese, fresh veg, guac and jalapeños.Every time I come out of here I feel like I did something good for myself and blissfully full. They also serve beer & wine and have an awesome Happy Hour food menu 3-6pm!

The Six. 12650 Ventura Blvd. Ok, back to the meat-eaters… I love the starter plates here. Mix and match and share around the table. The outdoor patio is really big and hidden. It doesn’t even feel outdoors because it’s all covered. Rustic wood tables and furniture adorn the back patio and the hearty food matches its ambience. BTW — the best Fried Mac & Cheese bites I’ve ever tried in my life. They are perfectly crispy on the outside and gooey deliciousness on the inside.

Black Market. 11915 Ventura Blvd. Already a busy favorite on the popular Ventura Blvd, Black Market has expanded their serving area with a brand new outdoor patio! I am very excited about this new addition because now it is dog friendly! Perfect place to do some people-watching and get more of a relaxed dining experience than the jammed, noisy atmosphere inside. There is no Happy Hour but plenty of quirky shareable dishes created by Top Chef alum Antonia Lofaso.

Mercado. 3413 Cahuenga W. Mercado serves Pozole soup (my fave kind of soup!) every Sunday 11am-3pm, along with the rest of the delicious Brunch menu: chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, Their homemade guacamole and chips beat every other Mexican restaurant! With a brand new outdoor dog-friendly patio, Weston approves!

Granville. 12345 Ventura Blvd. Granville is one of those places where you’re figuring out where to eat for dinner (because there’s nothing in the house and you do NOT feel like being in the kitchen), you feel like wearing a t-shirt and flip flops, you don’t want to deal with a reservation, but you don’t want fast food — you want decent, well-prepared, organic food with flavor. Oh, and the dog has to come. Duh. This dilemma happens at our house ALL THE TIME. #noshame Granville is perfect because it doesn’t feel “restaurant-y” even though the decor happens to be really grand and beautiful, the dishes are simple yet are homey and healthy.
